If there's one thing that makes me happy, it's fanart, even of ships/canon moments I really hated or didn't like that much. So in that spirit-- my first batch. XD! I didn't bother with the artists' names 'cause the links are to their journals anyway, so it's organized by scene/general timeline as I recall it :P

I don't hate children, though! My mind just really rebels against that whole fast-forward, jump ahead, where are they now sort of ending. I WANTED AN NA ENDING, OKAY. Like a curtain going down, knowing they're going to keep on going, Harry's going to go to sleep in Gryffindor and eat his sandwich and wake up the next morning and have toast and get a new owl etc etc, and it's all going to keep happening, we just won't get to see it anymore. And Parvati's line in NA, "I hope I can change," that will all go on, their lives, moving and changing, we just won't be watching.

Not zoom out, zoom in on Albus Severus, zoom out again after assuring us that all is well. That doesn't feel honest or worth anything, to me. Especially the way it was done, I might've bought the news article sort of handling, but. I don't know, it just felt wrong and weird to me. So in the end it's not really Albus Severus or driving tests, it's like - I wanted that feeling, the "There was no telling" and "I hope I can change" and us pulling back but their lives going on. I know that still happens technically but that feeling was broken, for me, with the epilogue.

I really loved it ending with sandwiches and Harry wanting to go to bed in his own bed in Gryffindor Tower because that's home and I bet they hadn't found anyone to take his and Ron's beds in the room with Neville. In fact, the only real Cho fic I remember is, I think, Ivy's Sodomite, which is sort of hilarious because, hahaha, cold sex guru Cho, not really what I think of when I think of her.

Wah. ♥. I'd stopped drawing HP too (not that many people care), and then DH came out and there was a bunch of doodles with my notes, and I even seriously colored (http://expecto-patronum.inkubation.net/hpics/dh_dobby.jpg) one (sort of). For me, at least, the love never leaves, and yeah, it's enough just knowing other people are going on. I've been all afkljaslkjfsalkjf ridiculously emotional too, for more than a week now :(( I was really thinking of fanart literally as I read because some scenes were just so vivid to me... ah. The more time passes, the more I'm 'meh' about meta and just happy and Muggle-style fangirling :>


Though, y'know, any art from you makes me happy :D
