With H/D... what puzzles me, I think, is like, if one agrees with me (and most people do? usually, on H/D I mean), why -wouldn't- you write your fics like that to start with--? Like, I myself almost never 'perform' up to my own standards with H/D, but then I'm always aware of it and constantly haunted with a constant sense of failure, the need to keep going, keep pushing, keep writing 'til I achieve It. You know. It. Uh. Which I wouldn't want to inflict on you, naturally, but am wondering why I'm alone in this crushing constant self-recrimination in terms of characterizing them perfectly-- like. Unless it's that people agree but it's not as -important- or something :-?

Generally I am pretty in control of myself (when I act mad, it really is just an act) but -- I see a cat -- even one of those black and white fat moggies that only a mother could love -- and I am literally "AWWWWWWW! Well, that's just it, you see! Your It is pretty much the same It as mine (in essentials, at least). So when you write something like what you wrote there, it gives me a jolt and I wonder well, did I break that 'rule' again, or am I getting any better at writing them the way I want them to be written?

Sometimes I get bogged down in humourous meta and just, oh, the semantics of writing, and the characterisation just happens without my noticing. So I have to be more careful!

That's one dynamic I'm not so happy with -- the friends to lovers thing. I guess because it could happen to anyone, to me, if you can imagine it with them, and I don't want any of my friends to suddenly declare their lust for me. THAT WOULD BE FREAKY. So I much prefer it your way, lemme tell ya.

I am now sort of stunned there's no Slytherin!Harry/Ron fic. What's wrong with fandom these days? Man.

I've gotten a few sequel demands since being in popslash, but I think that's mostly because they're all dirty perverts who just want more porn. Which is, eh, fair. Also, (and watch in awe as I conjecture wildly) I used to get more feedback like that in my earlier days in fandom in general, which I think is mostly because 1. I was interacting with more people who were newish to fandom and didn't yet know that asking for a sequel is fucking annoying, and 2. I just wasn't as good of a writer as I am now, and so my stories were not as carefully written (i.e. had less solid endings, didn't feel finished, were *too* open-ended to the point where it didn't seem deliberate) and sequel requests were slightly more understandable. However, I think it was a ratio of about 80% to 20% on that, so. Also, HP fandom has a much higher percentage of complete fucking retards than most fandoms, especially considering that you mostly write H/D, which is a pairing that is moron bait no matter how awesome it is.

It's really just a totally different vibe depending on what fandom you're in, and what you're writing (pairing, porn, gen, whatever). Bullshit aside, I still miss sometimes the amount of feedback I used to get in HP (or, more accurately, I see crap fics that gets pages of comments and think to myself I WOULD BLOW THIS BITCH OUTTA THE WATER if I only could be bothered to write HP fic anymore). Even if I actually probably still get more feedback than a lot of people, and thus really have no reason to bitch. Although that, of course, never stops me. :D *prances*

I will refrain from comment on the veela!Draco fic. Do you even remember that? The Potter-Malfoy-Granger-Weasley Household! OMG!

I think one wants more and more (and more) feedback if you think of it as 'attention' or people giving you your due rather than 'ohhh, so you -read- it' mixed with 'oohh, so you think it doesn't suck-- oh, okay' (which is me). Like, if 4 people think you don't suck, it's reassuring, but you'd probably use betas for that basic reassurance instead :>

I do think of it as attention, and actually more of a birthright, really. People have been really falling down on the job in re: animal sacrifices, so I have to take the worship where I can get it or I get tetchy. I sometimes do have that fear of sucking, given that I haven't used betas in maybe a year and a half, excepting the SeSa fic. Also, most of the stuff I've written lately is pretty good, and it annoys me if people don't see fit to fall all over themselves in agreement. Honestly. People.

Hermione was going mad 'cause Draco wasn't givin' her lovin' (what did he see in Harry, anyway, except she kinda wanted Harry also), so she took drastic measures and just followed him-- or she may have actually wanted Harry, not sure at this point-- um. They were in the middle of having sex (Harry and Draco), but then-- I think Hermione demanded to be serviced, and Draco was being a good sport. And also I think Harry had an exhibitionism... thing :D :D :D And so Draco was on his knees licking her when Harry's like 'all right, I'ma gonna crash this party', and the rest was-- porn >:D :D (...or actually you didn't go much further. *weeps*)
