Yet another sign my perspective is shot all to hell: in our student newspaper, the front-page story was that 3 male dormmates were stuck in an elevator in their dorm for 2 and a half hours.

And what did they do?? They went to sleep!!

They. Went. To. Sleep!!

My immediate thought was: WHERE IS THE BOYSMUT??! (...They could've at least bonded! Or... something.)

...On a semi-related note, two of the boys say they've been trapped in the other elevator in the building once before (for 45 minutes). Apparently, the elevators in our newest dorm break down often. Alas, the boys aren't gay enough.

P.S. Badfic is so beautiful. I want to do a list of worst lines for HP, but am too lazy, dammit.

There's Jude Law and Ethan Hawke and they're living together for years and they're the only ones who know each other's Deep Dark Secrets and Ethan straps a bag of Jude's urine to his thigh every day (don't ask) and there's a Scene where it's all Drunk and Emotional and a bit Angry and Needy and Ethan has carried Jude to bed and is straddling him and "GRAB HIM BY THE TIE AND PULL HIM DOWN!" was somehow torn shrilly from my throat and then he fucking did and okay, it didn't end in a kiss, but my heart nearly stopped anyway because I really had not expected him to grab his tie and pull him down!

Forget about the bag of urine. It'll make sense at the time. It was a big film! I'm surprised you haven't heard of it. It just showed on TV tonight.

Er, he also goes out every day with tiny sachets of Jude's blood just under his fingertips. It's a genetic screening thing. It's not an obsessive thing.

Oh, and Jude suggests threesomes and suchlike. And is delightfully English.

I think I've heard of it...? Man, these things blur together, and I often don't get out fast enough to catch the more intelligent sci-fi thriller things 'cause they stop showing in like, 2-3 weeks. I remember something with genetic engineering & the far future, but that was probably something else ^^;

I don't think he's quite as fine as most seem to find him, but he's certainly a fine thing, yeah.

I didn't even know he'd be in Gattaca. I had a vague notion of what it's about (far future, everyone's genotyped, you can't get a good job unless you've got good DNA, one Ethan Hawke bucks the system, Uma Thurman stars as love interest) and then suddenly it was Gattaca: Two Men Sharing Bodily Fluids.

In much agreement about the Gattaca! I love Gattaca muchly. But, uh, saw it in the pre-fandom days and thus was oblivious to any slashy vibes. That might be a good thing though - the slashy goodness will only add to its overall goodness for you! :D It is also very preeetty in general, despite being scifi has an old-fashioned kind of, er, ambiance, and is not over-the-top and technologically scary but is character-based and generally yummy!

Also: your random!boy conversation is very amusing. :D
