It wasn't that common. Like, three people said H/D. I think they were afraid of the subtext? H/D is as big as the canon pairings, and also like Draco, people either love it or hate it. Unto thee (who hate and fear it) I say: ahahahahahahaha. Suck on that.

It's stupid to be afraid of subtext. Jeez. Subtext isn't even there if you don't have a certain bent of mind (ie, desire to see it).

No, I went there again and there were five. But yeah man, I feel your pain. I think they just hate lots of sexually ambiguous (or not sexually ambiguous) interaction because it means the H/D won't go away and stop polluting the fandom? And unto thee I say...

Hey, I don't necessarily dig Harry & Snape nekkid either-- or Snape nekkid on any terms. Not that you'd have to worry about -any- nekkid in JKR's books. Um. We also decided it'd be gr8 if Harry & Snape just... went off to live together 'cause Harry was his apprentice or something (as like, part of Auror training, weheehee). But yes. I'll stop now >:D

I just hope the last book has a similar OMGWTF moment. No matter what happens, that'll make me happy.

No, it'll probably be the Snape/Draco book, and Draco will become Snape's apprentice at Hogwarts, and they'll be redeemed and very sexualised in that school boy way, with heads bowing and hands resting on arms that doesn't feel quite right to Harry or the reader.

You can have canon gay and still suck in other departments. :O
