Now... if you make fun of me for this, I will be very sad. Sad, I tell you! So like... don't. Okay, then.

Eeeeeeee, I just found this gorgeous goth Snape photography site(!!). Snape being all melancholy in a graveyard (well, and on Lily's grave, but it doesn't matter), and it's so beautiful and omg, real, somehow and now I want to write beautifully-grieving!Snape which is just... kind of disturbing and OOC, but who cares!!

Ack, I have such a not-so-secret fetish for goth photography and this is giving me a serious squee attack!! Aaaaack! I feel all Victorian and swoony now!! Saaaave meeeeeeeeee....! (Or, well, save Snape, I suppose, heehee.)

No, seriously, this is a very striking image to me. So many people draw Snape as all menacing-yet-sexual or just menacing or um... dryly sarcastic-- I love this vulnerable, self-destructive man. Paaaaain, my pretty. I like the paaaaaain.
And this definitely makes me want to write (bad) fic of some sort. *siiiigh* 'He' seems younger here, and... I dunno, I'm just a sucker, what can I tell you??! (There's just... something about a man in black out cold on cemetery steps. *weeps* Are my roots showing?)
There are more Snape portraits here, but uh... they're not as... convincing, shall we say :>

...just leave me to my gothy woes, dammit.

EDIT - Eeeek! I feel like some love center in my brain just -burst- or something!...!..!..!! My dear woobie adorable raging 11-year old!Harry!<3333!! Aack, Glock's Harry is my faaaaavorite <33333333333

...I find it funny that the only 'non-judgemental' characters would probably be the Hufflepuffs and the Hufflepuffs we know are Ernie Macmillan & Zach Smith, both rather judgemental -.-

I'm actually unsure how he gets on with McGonnagal, for instance. I think he's just really hard-put to find anyone better/more intelligent/powerful than him that is also a compassionate human being (or a student, hahah). Actually, the Dumbledore thing makes sense if you were once Tom Riddle's follower, since Dumbledore's supposed to be the only wizard as powerful as Tom :>

I always get the feeling (or maybe I just like to think) that Snape gets on rather well with Professor McGonaghall. I always think of the Gilderoy Lockhart/Ginny disappearing scene in movie!Chamber of Secrets . . . united in taking the piss out of Gilderoy, they act like comrades, somehow. Also, in OoTP when Harry's about to curse the crap out of Draco and McGonaghall interrupts, there's a certain lightness to the conversation between her and Snape.

Also, Reenka ... I'd love to read that post about monastic!Snape, and thanks for the pictures, they made my day.

Hehehe if I wanted a friend for Snape, it'd be someone austere and no-nonsense who wouldn't take any of his shit, preferrably female 'cause he'd prolly get more defensive/stubborn around men. :D :D Heeee. Men are like that, it seems like-- some, anyway-- they seem to open up and/or become more communicative (if not soften) around a certain type of female. Even gay men, like.

I know what you mean about those scenes, yes. And now for some reason I'm having a weird association between McGonnagal & Katharine Hepburn o_0
