GAAH!! I AM COMPLETELY UNABLE TO TYPE IN ANYTHING BUT CAPS RIGHT NOW, BECAUSE THESS IS BACK!!!1!11 >:O *CRIES!!1*

I WAS WRITING THIS SNAPE/DRACO BECAUSE WELL, IT SORT OF SENT ME FOR A LOOP AND WHAT DID IT MATTER, AND. OKAY. Um... nowifeelallguilty... I'll prolly finish it today, but. In honor of Thess' return, maybe I shouldn't post it? :-?

Um. I was... sorta enjoying it; I've never written Snape pov before. Gah. And. Who cares, of course. I think S. might like it, but that'd be about it, right. And. THESS IS BACK!! I FEEL LIKE WRITING H/D SMUT RIGHT NOW!!!1!!11 >:O

*wibbles madly*

And! [livejournal.com profile] kitsune13! Hee!

Happy Birthday, Catja!! <3333333!

Ask and you shall receive, man. Latelatelate, but then I'm always late -.-
But ♥ anyway :D :D :D
~~

On a completely different note, I just. I. Libertine updated Draco for `In Dialogia' (!!!), which is actually possibly my favorite piece of H/D ever ever and. I don't know how to feel, and. He's still so beautiful and perfect it hurts me, and the love is still there, right there with the bile and the need and the sheer mean. Um. Yeah. I think I still have a crush on Dialogia!Draco, actually. *sighs* I dunno why anyone makes Draco nice, because, I mean, just how un-sexy is that? In fiction, I mean. In fiction -.- [This was me reading the last bit of `In Dialogia' half asleep, which is clearly not a good idea, btw.]

Also: spontaneous orgasm (!!!!! >:O !!!). [livejournal.com profile] aome mentioned there were `real life' H/D pics on the HpArt y!group and I went to look, of course, and. HOLY BROOMSTICKS, BATMAN!!1 I... I can't breathe. Seriously. My hotness meter has exploded and now I'm like... a mess of gooey substance and squee. If there is only one truth in the universe, that truth is that Harry & Draco Are Hot. Siiiiiiiigh. And this!! *cries* And this! ... Just. No words. No words. (except OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!)

Okay, better now. Maybe o_0

*giggles* see, see, but the sheer brilliance of h/d is that neither of them have to change for each other (badfic aside)-- all they have to do is -understand- each other. my favorite h/d is where they let each other be themselves-- where they inspire each other to really -be- themselves. it's not about draco changing -for- harry-- it's about draco wanting to let go of the things that aren't his idea and discover what he -does- want, just him, not his father or his house or the people he looks up to. i believe that changing -for- people never works, and is kind of a doomed idea-- but people can change if they're motivated to, if there are the right circumstances. and those circumstances aren't so much being with someone as feeling the possibilities open up, maybe.

also, eheheheh you don't need them to stop arguing for them to get to the hot sex, man. heheheh, or haven't you been reading the right (pr0n) fics? hee. ie, the tried-and-true "I HATE YOU, FUCK YOU, OH MY GOD I WANT TO FUCK YOU". mmmm, angry sex :D :D :D

i totally know the problem (harry is single-minded and unreasonable and stubborn just as draco is), but i don't think the whole reasonable deal is for them, anyway. i think it's a pairing that doesn't make sense but that's the beauty of it-- that impossible crazy things can happen and make sense later (maybe). i mean... a few years down the road (maybe) they'd finally start dealing with this stuff, but to start with? it has to be all about the snark & the ust & the insane crazy lust & the anger expressing itself as arousal. sublimated chemistry, unlikely fits of rapport & rampant misunderstandings, etcetc. what grand romance is made of, no? like, all those Grand Epics have to go through the -whole- long novel before anyone changes (well, like say, `Jane Eyre', you know). And sometimes you can have an unhappy ending, too, like `Great Expectations' or something (though I hate that book), where nothing's fulfilled and everyone's hurt and supposedly learns from the folly of one's youth. Except there's TEH HOT PR0N (unlike with Dickens, eheheh).

Um. sorry, have automatic `ramble 'bout H/D' button somewhere in my head, apparently -.-
Totally haven't read any D/G as it's gotta be my least favorite semi-popular HP het pairing (after than H/Hr which really annoys me too, in fanon anyway). I've tried writing D/G twice, with mixed results-- one was just a random "Ginny seduces Draco to get a hair sample so she can polyjuice and kill Harry" (um... yeah), and another was a never-released beginning of a fic where she was all Ophelia-like (pre-OoTP, man!!) and Draco was keeping a diary (OMG I AM SO LAME) and um. they talked? i totally didn't know where to go with that, because, you know, of course that Draco was in love with Harry too (he always is) and. he kind of didn't see what the hell The Weasley wanted with him, and she didn't really know either. so that didn't work out -.-
So yeah, I couldn't figure out a reason for them to talk past the first couple of snark-bites, and it died. I do think it's more possible/feasible for me than D/Hr (save me now), but that doesn't mean I can write it (I know all about not being able to write things you enjoy thinking of sometimes, since I don't think -I've- written any "successful" H/D either-- I keep cheating somehow eheheh).

The thing that appealed to me about the `princess bride' fic was that i could overcome the ickiness of the D/G by seeing it through this new lens, where they were, you know, actually cool (and ginny was possessed by the spirit of buttercup). the whole concept reminds me of DS!D/G, ahahah what with the swords & the coolness. it's somewhat of a typical snarky-romance het pairing, i dunno why i don't have more affection for it. Like, you know, Buffy/Spike except... er... not. man, i ramble -.-

re H/D: no, you're absolutely right, and at some point I do need to try writing that abusive relationship H/D or at least one where they hate hate hate and then they're fucking and still hating and then they're just fucking and then, wait, whoa, hey, is there something *more* than fucking going on? but there can't be! because Harry hates Draco, he does, he always has, right? right? and Draco thinks Harry's an annoying twat, of course? and Ron is all "I'm not listening la la la you belong with Ginny nevermind that she's marrying Dean la la la la Mary had a little lamb la la" and Hermione rolls her eyes a lot and calls them idiots and flounces off to have sex with someone with a brain.

Or, you know. the twins.

re D/G: they're absolutely better snarking, but then I feel almost any pairing is improved by witty repartee, so maybe I'm just biased. And Buffy/Spike, as much as I loved them, did make a better friendship than relationship, at least in so far as Buffy was using him horribly, and knew it, and was able to finally step away and say she was being unfair to him. And omg, now I'm picturing some story where Ginny and Harry loved each other but couldn't be together! because Harry had to fight evil, and if he was all wrapped up in Ginny he was vulnerable, and Voldemort could invade his mind and turn him into evil as well, so he had to stay pure! and good! and maybe get sent to hell by Ginny to save the world, and then she and Draco had a long slow build up with lots of snark and hate-fucking and then an attempted rape and then Draco went off and turned good and crazy, because of course you have to be crazy if you were evil and then change your mind, evil is soooo much sexier than good, but then! Ginny wants to help him! and they build a friendship even though he wants more, and then there's a final big thing, and Harry comes back from... um... London... with an amulet, but Ginny gives it to Draco and then he dies and she goes off to find out who she is, and then the amulet gets given back to Harry (who has agreed to take over the Death Eater organization, and is attempting to use them to do good, along with Ron and Hermione and company, except of course that the DEs keep sneaking evil in there anyway) and Draco comes back! and spends eternity pestering Harry...

only I think that story's already been done. ;-)

all of which is a really long way of saying I like the Buffy/Spike comparison.

I do like D/G a lot (although my favorite het pairing, excuse me while I hang my head in shame, is probably Snape/Hermione) but only the good stories, and sadly there are very few of those. Most D/G makes me run in terror, screaming. Whereas, oddly, I can read tons of badly-written H/D. Perhaps my love of slashy!Draco is stronger than my love of Draco in general...

and this is a very long comment, so I'm going to shut up now.

There's something horrifically tempting about writing Bad Het. heheheh i think it's the years of indoctrinations rearing their ugly head ;))
It's totally -easier- and like, one's not as -invested- in it so it just pops out and tralalalal funfun & camp! so yeay!
I can see how Buffy & Spike were better off friends, but. *weeps!* i hate the very idea of being "better off friends" especially when two people are SO RIDICULOUSLY HOT together (omg, i will never get over `wrecked' never-ever-ever-ever). also. AHAHAHAH HARRY AS ANGEL THAT MAKES THE AWFUL MOVE OF SOULED-STUPID!SPIKE TO LA ALL BETTER NOW <3! thank you :D :D :D :D
(except omg IF ONLY angel was a -quarter-, a tenth, a tiny little bit nearly as cool as harry.... *weeps*) but still, i adore it 'cause, you know, this way it's a happy ending, ahahah. and of course draco/ginny is -just a fling- (even though omg! b/s = mfeo!!) um. except warren/andrew has recently become my buffy otp -.- ahahaha because it simply doesn't -get- any more meant-to-be than warren/andrew. *sighs girlishly*

i don't think it was hate-fucking, though. like. she so wanted him. i mean, it was -violent- but it was just -anger-, not hate, i think. which is different. *clings to old OTP*
i know i ship 'em against all reason and healthiness, but that's how i usually am. i think maybe buffy can't -handle- a relationship right now (and maybe neither can spike), but! mmmm. snark + ust = mfeo 4evah. for me. every time. am loooooser.

i was all, awwwwww-melty at the r/hr=as-mad-max-and-wife because OMG SO YES!!!1 :D :D :D!!
i am too scary of bad het to read much of anything, and i refuse to read long romantic epics where i have to sit through hours and hours of otp craziness. (like the big h/hr epics anyway... i don't think i've heard of this really famous d/g fic except maybe cassie's trilogy, ahahaha, so there you go, the het i read besides `faster, mudblood! kill! kill!' which i sometimes beta-- s/hr doesn't squick me for some weird reason-- not that i've read any besides that. it appears that most of the people writing it are all mary-suing hermione, which bothers me. then again, my impression is that most people mary-sue girls with draco or snape, whoever they are).

mmm, yes. slashy!draco is the One True Draco. unless he's asexual. but he fucks harry anyway, 'cause i'm the ebil author and i make him!! MUWAHAHAHAH! :D :D
um. yeah. procrastination is my friend~:))
