Omg, I love this fanfic h8 thread. Love, love (so far, anyway). You people are so funny it buuuuurnsss usss, preciousssss. The snark. Oh, the snark. *cuddles fandom* You people. You restore my faith <333333333333

I love squeeing about fics too, don't get me wrong. But. Sometimes one needs to cleanse the palate, non? :D
    Also, I sorta wish there was more snarky love as well as snarky h8. 'Cause everything should be snarky. EVERYTHING >:D
    Maybe it's just me, but it's like... if something's said with humor (and bite), it seems more honest to me. It is just me, isn't it? heh Yeah.... I love you guys. My heart melts. That said, the comments to the comments tend to be funnier than the... uh... comments ^^; Also, possibly I shouldn't be most amused by the Erin-is-a-guy-who-writes-badfic thread, and just things written by The People I Know: TM. But. *dead*

Anything that has someone saying, "oh, wait, draco's redeeming himself from fanon. he's like christ in a way" gets my unqualified and complete adoration, man :D :D
    Also: "Pansy will be redeemed, of course, because that is the way of the Slytherin." ♥♥♥

I think most artists, especially young (ie not 50+) ones, like to draw pretty people so much that it leads to idealizing everyone (see: most Snape fanart). Pin-ups and superheroes. Thus the pretty Dracos and the sad dearth of Dudley fanart. I draw people too pretty too, but... heh, I'll accept a lot more non-canon-ness from fanart than from fics. With fanart (unlike fics), I'm all about the skill and style, so I have more lax standards about plausibility.
