Omg, I love this fanfic h8 thread. Love, love (so far, anyway). You people are so funny it buuuuurnsss usss, preciousssss. The snark. Oh, the snark. *cuddles fandom* You people. You restore my faith <333333333333

I love squeeing about fics too, don't get me wrong. But. Sometimes one needs to cleanse the palate, non? :D
    Also, I sorta wish there was more snarky love as well as snarky h8. 'Cause everything should be snarky. EVERYTHING >:D
    Maybe it's just me, but it's like... if something's said with humor (and bite), it seems more honest to me. It is just me, isn't it? heh Yeah.... I love you guys. My heart melts. That said, the comments to the comments tend to be funnier than the... uh... comments ^^; Also, possibly I shouldn't be most amused by the Erin-is-a-guy-who-writes-badfic thread, and just things written by The People I Know: TM. But. *dead*

Anything that has someone saying, "oh, wait, draco's redeeming himself from fanon. he's like christ in a way" gets my unqualified and complete adoration, man :D :D
    Also: "Pansy will be redeemed, of course, because that is the way of the Slytherin." ♥♥♥

Looking at these I kind of worry about myself.

But the coloring really jazzes them up and makes them better to look at... (and I hope makes people less prone to notice all the "flaws" I see in them now that I can't correct 'em. ^^;;)

Hope you had a good time in DC! I wish now I had grabbed some of your art, but I'll settle for saving the portrait-type-thing jpeg onto my hard drive. I feel a little egotistical admiring "myself", but anyway... Heh. You included my omnipresent bag's strap. :D

Why God WHYYYYYyyyyy. *sniffle* I was looking at sherant's art with the Harry & the Neville & the toad at the art_xchange or whatever, and thinking how canon Ginny was (eee, patched jeans!!) & how Harry looked casual & relaxed & Harry-like and Neville just looked like a dork, and. Whee, they looked their age. No one really draws Draco his age. *cry, wail, cry*

And like, with BitTorrent-- go to their site, download the (really small) program, and it automatically installs. Um, then you just go to a site that links to some BitTorrent stream (usually search google for an anime & BitTorrent and poof!) and "save as" and first you see a small BitTorrent download "thingie", after which point the program initiates another download, this time of the file in question :>

I think most artists, especially young (ie not 50+) ones, like to draw pretty people so much that it leads to idealizing everyone (see: most Snape fanart). Pin-ups and superheroes. Thus the pretty Dracos and the sad dearth of Dudley fanart. I draw people too pretty too, but... heh, I'll accept a lot more non-canon-ness from fanart than from fics. With fanart (unlike fics), I'm all about the skill and style, so I have more lax standards about plausibility.
