on the perils of "coming out" to non-fandom people about just how stupid and fangirly and obsessed you are:

so he asked me to "talk". and since i didn't know what to talk about, i went on and on, and of course i squeed (and in fact, used the word `squee'. a lot.) about seeing the movie this friday, and about how i wish i was there for the premiere today, and about how stoked i am to even -think- of squeeing, and how cute daniel radcliffe is (ahaha i included photos), and so on.

so he said, "you really are the queen of dorks."

but i'm not offended, no. i know this.
i mean, how dorky is it to even -talk- about the stuff i talk about, even in a semi-intelligent manner?? especially in a semi-intelligent manner? *laughs*
but do i care?
hell no.
who cares about maintaining anyone's good opinion or one's dignity, when instead you can be going hog-wild about underage fictional characters doing Bad, Bad Things to each other, i ask you?
perhaps i should get a new journal-- [livejournal.com profile] dorkslanding, heh. ``where the dork meets the spork". watch the sparks fly.
this reminds me of my first boyfriend (who was a d0rk, but a prissy, intelli-dork sort of dork) saying i was being ``ditzy" when i squeed shamelessly over the -cuteness- of some of his vaunted prog-rock musicians. i mean, yah, i appreciate the music. yeah, i don't exactly have posters of the backstreet boys on my walls-- or posters of rush for that matter. just because i like cuteness and silliness and acting half my age-- so what? i'm happy, just like [livejournal.com profile] ashkitty said :D

i always knew that i divide my time between seeming like a hyper 13-year old dork with a violent-lurve fixation and an overly-intellectual geek with too much time on her hands. i will refrain from saying anything intelligent or worthwhile in this post, in honor of today. the great t00by day that i could've spent dorking myself unconscious squeeing like a banshee as daniel & tom passed like 100 feet or more ahead of me. if i wanted to shell out the dough for the bus ticket. yah.

long live my inner t00b d0rk goddess.
w00t~!

Bah to him, and to all other non-dorks. We're more interesting anyway, am I right, or am I right? :)

hee :D of course you're right.
after all, if we appreciate our interestingness in our own dorky fanclub, no one's going to do it for us, are they :D

Here, here, with the "long live my inner t00b d0rk goddess." I was trying to explain to my friend how grand/stellar it would be for me to go to London to work for summer 2004, and he was fixated on how freakish it was to want to see the HP premier while I'm there. Being a boy-lover, I would have thought that he'd appreciate Tom or Daniel or Rupert, or even Alan, since he does kinda like older boys, but no. We really do only have only ourselves to appreciate our quirki, spiffi, and fabulous d0rkness....

can I be lady in waiting to the queen dork?

Yay for dorkdom! Harry Potter is my only dork thing, really (although, I'm a little too into Buffy, but not a fandom person). It is hard to pretend to be normal, though. I've been trying so hard not to break into squees and screams when someone so much as mentions Harry Potter, but I'm not always completely successful.

i always knew that i divide my time between seeming like a hyper 13-year old dork with a violent-lurve fixation and an overly-intellectual geek with too much time on her hands.

You know, the other day, my father said, "You were easy to figure out from the beginning. When you were 18 months old, you wanted to be either a year old, or two. When you were 6, you wanted to be 3, or 10. You've always been like that."
*smile* We're kindred.

dorky -and- wicked, hehehe. *cackles*
that's a good combination. i guess that makes me, "evil, but in a good way".

*prances away, feeling v. pleased with self* :D

p.s. eeee, i'm so glad you're plugging away at afterword2~!
*feels special* hee

*smiles back* yah, i think it's a common trait of somewhat odd, quaintly interesting people, that they're both older and younger than whatever age they are.
i mean, look at einstein. y'know, the sticky-out-tongue picture. you could tell he liked doing that :D
people who act their age are scary. they need some destabilizing influences. harry potter slash, maybe :D ahahahah.

and yah, it was weird not being able to catch my squee in the barnes & noble when getting the CoS poster book...
the lady didn't say anything, but i just got this feeling like she thought i was a nutcase.
which of course, i am. *cackles*

i'm pretty much a little too into whatever i'm into. sort of hyper like that. although, i have to say, at least i can write long dissertations about it and sound really pseudo-intellectual and stuck up about it if i wanted to :D
yeay for wasted brain-cells :D or should i say, "creatively managed" :D
