i'm actually crying because... because.......... guh...! she wrote this~~ happiness..... and melting.... and .....bliss.
and snow.
and it's like... finally. yes. that's....that's how it all should be.

(so out of context, but, still...)
i just.... wow. it's like someone told me that yes, they think living is worth it, and they're going to walk again. i don't know why i think of draco as this depressed little boy so easily. but hey, whatever works, right ^.^
the `snow queen' motif always gets me, in stories. i wrote one, months ago, but really the theme influences a lot of my writing. when i was little, i read the russian version of the snow queen, and instead of gerda reciting that little christian song, she cried instead, and her tears landed on his cheek, and they warmed him to the bone, and he cried, and the piece of ice lodged inside his eye escaped. i always thought that was the most perfect ending for a fairytale ever, completely beats either `beauty and the beast' or `the twelve swans' or `the little mermaid'. it was just... so deeply resonant to me, always. weird, considering i was just a child when i first heard it.

nothing says, "yes..! love will win" to me, like the theme of snow and endless cold, and the melting of it. and yah, i can definitely see harry and draco in those roles, but then, i think all true love puts you in that role, where you melt and you do the melting. you melt together. that's just... yeah. what it's all about, to me.

vignette00 really reminds me of the feel of neil gaiman's work, with the dream-like imagery and the subtle horror elements and the absurdity and the warmth. if i wasn't so out of it, i'd gush. but i'll just settle for reccing it muchly.
