reenkaIf any of you are sekrit movie geeks like me, or even if you aren't, Roger Ebert's Movie Glossary is an amazing find. People seem to send in different 'movie cliches' or laws as to how things always happen, like if there are a number of gorgeous chicks and it's a movie that contains nudity, everyone will get naked -but- the prettiest girl. I find every single one hilarious, even if not always true, heh. Though there really is a Tom Hanks Rule about comedy stars moving on to drama.
...I think this sort of plays to my sekrit belief that everything is really part of some pattern. Down with randomness! THE WRITERS ARE OUT TO GET US!!1 :D
Hahaha, and the Ghostly Communication Rule (where friendly ghosts talk & look human and ev01 ghosts only go bump in the night) made me want to write a friendly ghost who goes bump in the night & likes scaring people. Okay, that doesn't really work. It makes me realize more sharply that the ghosts in most books/movies are really ridiculous 'cause of this good/bad genre-related separation-- I mean... any believable ghost (to me) would be freaky and disturbing and yet still vaguely human. 'Cause. Any existence it has is going to be an echo of humanity, so. Well, this just reminded me that most fantasy-horror movies that get made suck rotten eggs, what else is new. ^^;
Also: Kassie's repudation of the slash isn't gay debate is my favorite yet. Not least 'cause it calls people dumb a lot. Right on :D Also, it excuses -me- from having to make a post about it. Whew.
