[the 'post-gay generation']
Feb. 9th, 2006 03:29 pmMan, Stuyvesant HS isn't what it used to be. I saw this article in New York magazine and was pretty surprised to realize I knew people like that-- I mean, it's not just the 'cool kids' in the uber-liberal NYC gifted-kids High School-- it's like, um, normal geeks too. Being all "polysexual, ambisexual, pansexual, pansensual, polyfide, bi-curious, bi-queer, fluid, metroflexible, heteroflexible, heterosexual with lesbian tendencies—or, as Alair puts it, 'just sexual.'"
I wish I could get some sort of new way to write femslash out of it-- or better yet, boyslash (boys kissing for girls, or because, 'why not', or like, whatever, though I thought it was interesting one guy said guys don't do it as much 'cause it's more of a 'physical commitment' once you get to a certain point). I just totally dig on this:
It’s not like, Oh, I’m going to hit on her now. It’s just kind of like, you come up to a friend, you grab their ass. . . It’s just, like, our way of saying hello.
Of course, this seems more suited for ficcing actor RPS or something more than anything -.-
...also, the blond guy so looks like my angsty!Draco :P

(Of course, there COULD be an RPS high school AU using that model, which would be geniusly great. Oh, shit. Dude. Wow.)
