And yet, I feel I'm more excited about the new book than most fandomers I know. Probably, I know people who're not really in fandom so much these days, ahahah -.-

Oh Harry, Harry, Harry. Just when you need some companion for late-night woodland strolls, old Dumbledore's your main man, huh. Guess you patched things up.

Somehow, I see the percentage of Harry/Dumbledore slash skyrocketing after this.... Or maybe that's just me.

Haha, dude, Yank covers for fantasy books suckh so bad. I actually stopped reading a series once because the publishers here in Aus dumped the title and instead we got the shitty American version which was ugly and only came in an expensive omnibus which was pointless since I already had 2/3 of the series.

Also, I've had a friend who worked in a bookstore import British versions for me cos I wanted all the covers to match XD. But that's cos it was Steve Aytlett and you can't not have Steve Aytlett covers that match.

But I don't like the pointy-collar thing on wizards. It's so... Disney's-Evil-Queen or something. Also, WHY CAN NO ONE GET HARRY'S HAIR RIGHT!? Sorry, but you know I have hair-hangups. The sticky-uppy thing at the back is important to me.

You know, I kind of miss the first four book covers now, which is what's really sad. But they had a sort of... odd charm, what with Harry's dorky glasses and... stuff? Perhaps it's just nostalgia ^^;
I'm angsty about Harry's hair also! As a person with floofy hair, I protest! Why is it so hard to have someone have sticky-uppy wild hair--? It's sort of the tendency people have to take away Hermione's frizz. Really, I think people do it on purpose, 'cause they want to 'fix' it or something? In some sort of obsessive-compulsive way. Probably also why they make Draco's eyes blue :-? I think Harry's not that attractive as a dorky boy with freaky hair and huge glasses and Draco the ferret-faced unlaid boy. Or we could just blame Dan Radcliffe for everything :>

I just meant about the hair, since he's become like, the picture of Harry and such like that ^^;;; Though that's more the make-up artists or whoever, too....
Draco is a hopeless case though, since most people just can't wank to him if he had any unlovely features. Poor Draco ^^; Or not :>

Masses of Cedric/Krum fic is a given, I think. I'm not mad about the HP movies, but I do enjoy the way they make neglected characters and ships popular overnight. Do you remember how after CoS there was that sudden deluge of Lucius/anyone slash?

If it makes you feel any better, it was pensieve!young!Dumbledore :> I think there's something about great writers doing insane pairings that can take one by surprise-- like, while I wouldn't read a pairing I -know- I don't like for a specific reason (say, uh, Draco/Neville), I can be startled into reading a totally insane pairing if I trust the writer. This is how I became a fan of Tom/Hagrid :D

Heheh, I remember my frustration ><;; Lucius, Lucius everywhere! Long-haired Lucius, at that. At least I should thank the movies they didn't make -Draco- long-haired? *sigh* But at least I'm over hating Lucius now :D *is zen* The sad thing is, I might be tempted to slash Krum with Cedric, if only Cedric wasn't so... dead. -.-
