I'm listening to `My Goddess', and omg, it's really a rockin' song... and I really want to write something for it, but it doesn't fit any pairing/fandom I can see myself writing for. But even though I'm still in a creative slump, music has always inspired me, so....

If anyone wants to send me an mp3 they find really energizing/inspiring and give me a pairing/fandom to go along with it, I'll see what I can do. *bounces*

Oooh, so many goodies :D :D :D Honestly, ahahah the lyrics are probably more important in terms of fictional inspiration, and if not then the more 'atmospheric' the better ^^;; Sometimes I do want to write to angry songs, though, it's odd. And it really seems like half the great vids out there have been made to Escaflowne, it's odd o_0 I think my love for the series is like, mostly based on the vids for it these days :>

Well, if it helps, this is the Escaflowne movie vid, so it's a lot prettier, and Hitomi's different too...? Though I admit I am accepting of annoying characters for the sake of the Pretty Fated Love(tm) :>

Oh no. The movie shat me off too. The best part was dragon-boy (sorry, forgotten his name) mincemeating the soldiers on the airship in the beginning. Everything else sucked donkey balls.

Well, I'm not actually a -fan- of Escaflowne... mostly I'm just nostalgic (second shoujo I've ever watched!) and yeah, there are just tons of Esca vids out there, along with Eva ones (which I've also watched tons of). I've come to believe that in a vid, it -helps- if you like the source material, but in the end the story/feel can be almost diametrically different so it can be enjoyable even if you hated the original-- though I haven't tested that theory since I hate/really dislike very few anime. But like, okay, I suppose there can be a good vid with Fist of the North Star, heh. It would be hard though ^^;

Yeah, it's funny about Esca/Eva. I think if I had discovered Esca back in the days when I was stupid and young and actually into Eva, I probably would have liked it. Now I am teh grownup and know better.

I was luckily never into FotNS though. *shudders*
