reenkaOh my god, I had to post just to rec `Gryffindor No. 1', which had me by the throat almost unwillingly the whole time I was reading it. If ever there was a fic about the Beast, this is it, omg!!1 So raw and primal and the actual sucker-punch saved till the end where it counts. A fic hadn't actually seized my heart into that combination of anxiety and despair and a sort of wretched euphoria in a long while. anniesj & casirafics & circe_tigana are also brilliant. My mouth is still gaping, I think. And if Sirius Black wasn't born to practice criminal mischief, then call me Sally. Oh my gahd, the sheer beautiful violence in this.
Speaking of beautiful violence... you'd think H/D would be full of it, but eh. Not so much lately, at least not in the pretty shiny ways. And then I readfuriosity's `Like I Don't Even Know You', and it hit the spot. I didn't know I knew, but Eminem is just perfect, songfic or not, and the violence is beautiful and the hate is pure love, which is definitely how it should be. `Deep Inside My Veins' & its sequel also made me smile. Ahhh, obsession stories. I've such a weakness.
