!!PoA!!

So I went to the "Row M" line-party thingie with about 300 (or so?) HP nuts like myself. *moment of reverent silence*

...I had a lot of fun. Well, that's an understatement. I think I squeed myself into a tizzy, and I don't generally do that in public, but. I'm really just a big dork (though of course that's obvious, isn't it). But.

Anyway, I'm going to see it again in IMAX, and if anyone else who reads this is going, tell me, tell me! Aaaack, tell meeeee..!...!..!! I desperately need to talk about the movie in person now, since I didn't get to do that even though there were a lot of HP fans around. I'm just shy & don't deal well with large groups, even though I said hi to vlamidala & ali_wildgoose. Well, actually, I sat next to Ali, eheheh. But I was late to that actual "party" part of the event, and the rabid fangirl screaming isn't my thing anyway. So! Someone! Anyone! NYC people! I wanna taaaaaaalk...!..!..!! heh.

Um. But just seeing people dressed in schoolgirl outfits and someone dressed up as Professor Trelawney (...yeah) and the life-size brooms and the whole geekery made my heart all warm and fuzzy. I love you freaks guys, I really do :D People were definitely staring at the procession of us from the party to the movie theatre funny, and I was like, yeay! We're freaks! Muggle freaks in large numbers walking through mid-Manhattan! Woo! ...um.

I just brought my Harry plushie, and I was kinda cuddling him on the way to the party, trying to get a reaction from the passerby, but these are New Yorkers, so it's not that easy, eheh. I'd feel rather silly in a costume, though, so it's great to be associated with but not actually -one of- the dressed up people. Whee!

Anyway. *happy sigh* Even though I didn't -do- any of the raffle/trivia/mingling things, I felt a part of something wonderful, and I have that love-you-all vibe going on right now that I had at Nimbus. I really feel like I -belong- with... the fandom. Like... I dunno. The silly t-shirts (eheheh, I loved the little cartoon of Remus and the H/D one and the Ron one... eeee, Ron!!1) and the funny hats and. Oh. Just, the love. Knowing the people next to me feel it too-- it's priceless. Made the movie-watching much more fun & emotional. Y'know, not too much screaming and yet some well-placed tasteful screaming at Draco & Snape and such. It's all good. :D
