~~yet another "great idea"... introducing hp_fictrack.

it was the one cool fic to come out of slashersanon, `beneath you' by starflowers, that gave me the idea. it's worth reading and it's actually got a draco who doesn't melt into puddles (oh god, i've gotten so easy to impress. well no, not really, but it's depressing, the amount of people who can't seem to write in-character. including me, i guess). i wouldn't say it's -blindingly- in character, but it's snarky and sexy and it's got too much het (ron & pansy & snogging: need i say more?) and i still like it, so that should be good for something.

anyway. it's not like i'm really going to come back to schnoogle every week to check up on it, so i was thinking-- there really should be a place for me to point people to, so that they can let me (and the fandom at large) know when they come out with new chapters, short of begging them to email me. i just don't do that sort of thing, anyway. so i guess the obvious solution would be an lj community or a mailing list. both require joining, which is the drawback, but oh well. i did start it. the community.

it's hp_fictrack and i'm not sure if i should advertize it everywhere (er-- like i -would-, anyway), or just beg the people i want to keep up with to join. it's not just for -me- obviously (as usual, i'm trying to be all philanthropic about this), i don't even intend it to just be slash. i just want people to post links when they post another chapter to a work in progress.

even if i already friended you and would thus know when you post a new chapter, i would so appreciate it if you (ie, the people who read this who have works in progress, hopefully ones i follow, but not necessarily) joined and announced there too. and when i say i would appreciate it, i mean i would fall over with complete glee and happiness.

gahd, i have all these stupid dreams. but i can't help it. it would be too cool, if people only friended people on lj because they wanted to read their entries, and not just because they want to know when they update. because face it, i was guilty of that, more than once ><
    not that i haven't gotten to like everyone anyway, naturally. er. yah.

anyway. if you have an hp wip, join! multiply! let there be updates! and so on.
