ztrin's latest story has to be the most beautiful, soft, non-angsty End-of-the-world Apocalypse tale i've ever seen. apocalypse, maggots, insane asylums-- it doesn't seem to matter, heh. anything can be made into this soft song with dreamy ghosts, new connections, insane Runes professors.
i really liked space oddity, yesterday's Apocalypse tale-- but-- well-- it has that thing, that end-of-the-world stories tend to have-- a lot of unresolved pain. not that i don't like pain. ok, i don't like pain. but....
people dying a lot tends to put me off. i can't totally get into it because of some amount of self-preservation going on, where in my mind i'm going, oo, i liked this, but it didn't really happen. weird. because-- if i were to believe it-- you'd have to not have this sense of inevitability-- you'd have to have harry/everyone/anyone fighting it, and being afraid, and not accepting, and having a chance. otherwise it's like those anime that kind of go, and lo, for war is bad, and humanity isn't Enlightened, and We Are All Going to Die. the end.

but ztrin's story-- well-- it's sort of-- er-- a dreamworld, anyway. it's not about things ending, or people dying, or the world turning to water-- though it has that. but. i mean really, Apocalypses are pretty surreal things. why not go a step further? and i trust her to go a step further-- and wow, there are weird voices and sweet dreams and dead french people and swashbuckling!ron (well, kind of), beyond that step.
    er. this wasn't really in-depth or very enlightening in any way whatsoever, but.... if someone wanted depth, there are always those yummy stories i keep linking to, aren't there. heh.

dude. hp fanart is stealing what few braincells i have left. oh sweet gods. this makes me just, drool. ip!harry/draco rock my socks. then there's the almost-kiss, from `irresistible poison', again, pretty much irresistible. and... the kiss, er, which... well... i do not have the power to express my droolification at the moment.

P.S. ...this one just... makes me want to cry, for some reason. even though most of her draco pictures are... not exactly reminiscent of what i always thought he looked like (even though she's bloody brilliant)... this...them just holding each other.... wow. want....
   hugging pictures just do that to me. it seems to come across more, visually, it seems, than pictures of kisses, which i think are difficult to do in a way that evokes motion. whereas holding --is just-- a still moment in time-- a perfect, still, beautiful moment....
   ok i retract that about her draco not looking `normal'-- because i don't care-- this is the sexiest, and i mean, sexiest, psychodelic!draco, ever. gaar.
   i'm so, so selling my soul to this harry-- if this draco doesn't get it first-- as he probably will. oh yessssss, yes, yes, yes. *forces jaw shut* oh my gahd, please please let him grow up like that. whoa.
