aaaaaahhhh! Seri Black's written (new!!) Harryfic and now I'm dead, dead, dead, dead.
This (and Thess') are the only fanfic Harrys I could ever really -feel-, man. I've believed in others, but this just seems to go straight through to the heart. I feel this, so so so much. Only Seri writes about loss in a way that makes me broken and joyful and overwhelmed all at once. It's just so understated and beautiful and -real-, and I don't even have words. This is how I used to feel about HP fanfic, man. Ack, it's tearing me apart.
God. This fic is absolutely brilliant.

Date: 2004-06-17 03:11 pm (UTC)I got another semi-beta-type-thing on it yesterday, and she said it "lacked the reena-fire" and it's -true-. Remus is barely -there- and I don't know why they're doing what they're doing and the fairy-tale thing is just kind of slapped on, yes, and I just suck at doing blind challenges ^^;; You told me, initially, to like, rewrite Remus and I was like, "yeah I should", but I -couldn't-, because like... I didn't have a clue, really. I think one of my problems is thinking that a pairing-fic has to be a -requited- pairing fic, and also that it has to -work- in the first place. Then again... if it's not romantic and not sexually-motivated, it's hard to imagine -why- Harry/Remus would happen ><
.....Though on the other hand, I'm all flattered now :D :D
I'm writing a Remusfic presently, however (not really slash, though it might have some bits/hints of S/R & Harry/Remus, possibly-maybe), which I'm more confident about 'cause I felt more in touch with Remus after PoA :> Wah.
