Happy Super-belated Birthday!

( Here be `Fuck you & the Broom You Rode In On' - which is a sort of romance-in-owls comic. Vaguely. You'll see, heh. <3 )
...I am bad with actual um... meaningful Hallmark-type sentiments on demand sometimes, but yes. You've inspired some of the most enjoyable hours of my life, man. Teehee. My love for H/D wouldn't be the same without you. I know, somewhat frightening, but hey. And also, you yourself are brilliant and a delight to know, even though I'm not expressing anything very well right now. Still. <3!
You know how it is. Sometimes you find you can finish things, and sometimes your mind is a roiling mess that refuses to cooperate. Um. I have like, two stories that are yours. Just. Um. You'll have to wait a little, heheh. And by that I mean a little more -.-
I was having that weird state where if I try to write angst, it peters out into sap or comedy, and vice versa. Um. It's been that sort of week, man.
But anyway. This is probably the weirdest gift I've given anyone. Ever. Messed up as I am lately, I wanted to make -something-, and this came out. I have no idea if anyone would want it, but. I made it thinking of your Harry, a bit. Then again, your Harry is like, part of my mental landscape of Harryness, now. He's always there. Watching. Waiting. Ahahahah, um.
The point is. I made an um... I dunno what to call it. A comic? A visual letter-exchange thingie? A random brain-burp?
It's an illustrated bunch of owls between Harry & Draco, with no back-story and no rhyme or reason. Ahahaha. I would've drawn smut, except I really doubt they'd start um... role-playing porn via owls, ahahahaha. Oh man. Though that would actually be hilarious, come to think of it. But. <3 anyway. :-? Yes. Um. Nevermind. Right then.

Date: 2004-01-07 11:39 pm (UTC)Interesting tidbits?
Date: 2004-01-08 06:26 pm (UTC)Always thought it would be cool to see what she could do with better equipment (http://www.wacom.com/graphire/index.cfm).
But one thing I was thinking of when looking at this set of pictures was: What if, why wouldn't there be letters that could incorporate pictures of the the writer, maybe even incorporating mood and emotion, in a magical sense. Has anyone looked at this concept in fanfiction? One would think that if there were spells to figure out who wrote a certain letter that there would be more advanced spells that woud be able to lift more of the essence of the person writing it. Or why not be able to purposely enchant it to emote when read (much in the way the wizarding photographs that are so commonplace in the books).
Anyway. Just something I was thinking about. One thing I liked was how there seemed to be more depth of rexpression the further in the series you went. Letting my imagination run away with me, I wondered, what if it was like learning how to work ones mind differently, like in the occlumancy lessons, which seemed to hint at a larger realm of mindmagic in the books. At first the images were somewhat abstract, shaky, like they were just learnig how to impress upon their medium, and then later imprinting in a more pure direct sense cvoloring it with shades of emotion here and there. And at the end almost similacra stairign back out of the pages.
Anyway. Probably shoudl stop rambling. But just wanted to add this little bit, even though I'm sure its too late for anyone to read it. Just was interested impressed by the ideas these littel pictures inspired on me.
