1. basket.jpg charcoal. beautiful. muted orange/red of the pumpkin. mmmm, it feels like black and white photos that you've sort of colorized afterwards, a little bit unnatural, but very still and very calm and very soft.
2. basket2.jpg ditto, but even more so. I love your choice in colors. brilliant in the detail / lack thereof, like how you selectively chose where to draw in the little details (the veins on whatever vegetable that is, I don't know my vegetables), and where to just let it be (the quick color/shading on the carrots)
3. bone.jpg GORGEOUS shape, I love bones they have so many pretty shadows and odd, organic shapes, and you've captured it so well. :X
4. book.jpg cool angle! nice and dark, makes me think of a libary or something, in the evening. dim reading lamps and hush hush.
5. harvest.jpg again with the beautiful colors! the contrast between your black lines and the grey washes... so cool. :)
6. leaves.jpg ack. you know how I like bones? I ALSO LIKE LEAVES. wonderfully crinkly shapes! I like how easy you make it look to shade them in all their crinkliness. just washes of black/grey. so nice. the lines, hatching and stuff, are also great, especially with the washes. ooh.
7. shell.jpg I adore your line quality.

heeeeee! <33333! wow i really didn't expect you to fb me in detail! *giggles happily* oh man, i had to share 'cause i really hated scanning them 'cause most of the drawings are 18x24 thus really way too huge. like, the book looks much better when you can see the whole book, but o_0
eeeeeeeee!!1 *dances* thankees >:D i totally think i suck most of the time 'cause everyone's drawings are a) smoother b) shaded better c) more realistic and d) more intricate. which basically means they actually work on them ><;; and also, i suck >< but! i think i've been working harder, a bit. like, i spent way too much time on that skull. or maybe i was just tired -.- and then i spend 3 hours drawing a rib-cage and then d'oh!! i get the angle all wrong. life drawing sucks my soul through my teeth, man. hee.
it's a lot easier drawing the small things (book, bone, shell) that are right in front of you-- the angles are much much clearer to me. it's like i've got some Angle Dysfunction or something. heh. i'm glad they work aesthetically on some level~:) i'm proud of the skull teeth. you liking the eye-sockets made me giggle 'cause they look kinda crooked to me. *laughs* so now i've amended "i suck at this" to "but not as hard as i could" ~:))
