Things That Will Make Me Skip Over Your Story:
    or at least wish i had.


1. you consistently misspell things/names/places, and your language use makes me stop and groan more than once in two paragraphs or so. there are many things that annoy me with style, but purple prose and attempts to use big words without really knowing how will get me every time.

2. you refer to someone as "the platinum-haired slytherin" more than once, followed up by "the messy-haired gryffindor", "the red-haired best friend" or perhaps "the large, glassy body of water". and yes, i read it anyway if i'm bored, but man, will i resent you.

3. most likely, if you say this story takes place post-hogwarts, in the muggle world, or involves mpreg (heh). unless i know your writing from other fics. but in general, adults bore me in hp. and if they -are- adults, it better be h/d, that's all i'm sayin'.

4. draco/ron or draco/snape and all hp het besides ron/hermione by silvia. unless i love you. -and- you ask. in general, will not read lucius/snape, most snapeslash in general, weasleycest or malfoycest, or all other sundry slash pairings unless i know you (ie, won't read marcus/oliver unless i know the author very well).

5. i will avoid PG fics unless i know you. not like i -need- smut, but pg fic means more juvenile themes than i'm looking for. so.

6. nice!draco or apologetic!draco. kill him. KILL HIM NOW. PLEASE. I AM BEGGING YOU.

    i am a plebe, ahahahaha, but so is tom!! the latest video of him that ivy linked to just... erm... inspired me. this is probably the one and only time (thank gahd) i'll go all out with tom felton love like this, but hey. grab it while it lasts. (though tell me if you do just 'cause i'm curious like that.)

also. the cuteness of remus/sirius was killing me. but it didn't quite kill me -dead- until i found canis m's fanart (not to mention her fanfic, heh). this and this *melts*
    and yes, everyone is better at the hp character meme than me, but i don't mind. *worships kitsune13 along with trin & SF*

I'm with you on the adults thing. Who wants to read about soggy, arthritisy adults? Especially if they're professors. Do you honestly want to believe that your teacher can have a sex life too? *has a hate-on on all her teachers, by the way* Give me the young ones anyday. The teenage angst! The hormones! The pimples! Who gives a damn about liver spots when you can read about wizarding acne anyday?

Aw, Tom Felton is growing up, his profile's getting a lot sharper, no more baby fat. The third icon is adorable -- big eyes and everything. And seriously, your meme rocked. You have a modesty problem, you. <3

although, you know-- as much as adults in general are... well.... less than attractive, really, snape & hooch & dumbledore & mcgonagall and... okay, i like remus & sirius but why do they have to be all -old enough to be harry's father- and you know... haggard and mature. gahd, i hate maturity. *stabs it*
heee. gahd, i can just see snape having premature liver spots :D

and, you know, not modest, more like extremely wibble-prone, especially since i feel the pressure about classes and stuff, so like, my writing is the only thing i'm not graded on and i can be good at even if i fail psych, but then of course i grade myself -.- *laughs* i think that's my subsconscious telling me to get offline and study, so that i could separate my horrible-student self from my not-quite-as-horrible writer self ^^;

With you on that, yo. I like MWPP in teenage/early 20s form and I like my present!kids to be still in school. Speculation of post-war, five, ten or fifty years in the future doens't interest me in the least. Unless it's written by someone I like and know and love and trust. Or it's Snitch!. Cause, then, yeah.
