ahhhhh, the utter -joy- of watching a show you love that has your pairing of choice, blatantly displayed for your enjoyment. i can't even imagine the horror of watching this show and not being a spuffy person. ahahaha. it's so bloody thick. ahhh, i love it. is it me or are they being all cute with it?? where's the angst?? no angst >:D<
    aww, who cares. hee! are they adorable or are they adorable? cozy! tummy-touching! the cute! wah. *wants (good) fanfic* they're almost -shy- with each other. sort of. it's so adorable!! they're circling each other and buffy's all almost blushing and spike's all gruff and i'm melting over here. snog! snog! ok, i can wait, but still! just-snog-already!
    sincere apologies go to [livejournal.com profile] ethrosdemon if she's reading this, eheheheh

this was much better than last ep, thank the gods. although teacherly!buffy still pisses me off (or at least her writers do), it wasn't totally focused on that, so ok. i kinda like dawn, in that semi-bad-but-semi-good sort of way. at least she's not like lana. there are similarities though. really. and the whole amanda-&-dawn-kicking-butt thing was cool. i like girls kicking butt, even if it's girls i don't like otherwise. it just makes them automatically cooler.

i was big with the xander love this ep, man. big with the xander love. especially that speech at the end. go, xander, go! how cool i never knew you are!
    and hey, the smallville wasn't too bad. whee!! they lied about clark never flying, the dorks. ahahaha. and plot! progressing! i like that.
    and lex was still the sexy, so you know, worth ogling. and i was all happy when martha figured out what the deal was, with lionel. i mean, don't get me wrong, he's the sexy too, but martha is too smart to like him without knowing the deal.
    and i was glad there was almost no cheese this ep. that was very refreshing. i mean, slight cheese with the lana bit, but bearable. clark had such pretty blue eyes, though i couldn't tell if he was thinking or just blinking. he's good at being all "interpret me howsoever you wish". i mean, -maybe- he has a clue and maybe he doesn't. is there some rule somewhere about heroes being oblivious? still, the flying bit made up for a lot. i dunno -why- it mattered to me, but. there you have it. also, lex is yummy. i don't think anyone else is-- not clark, not duncan, not methos, not obi-wan, not really snape, not even movie!draco. still, some things are irresistible. one of those things is whenever alan rickman turns on the Voice. and another is any second on smallville that has lex in it. also, i can't resist connor macleod. but that's neither here nor there.

[livejournal.com profile] chiriko says she's leaving, but she wrote this, which finally convinces me i love ginny. it's really frightening. i love silvia's ron and sky & amalin's hagrid and now aspen's ginny, and i can only fear what's next. i'll miss her. wah. aspen was one of my first favorite h/d writers, and she was one of the things that got me into this fandom, and i don't know if she ever knew that but it's true. *sigh*
    i've been in nyc this past weekend, so of course fics piled up and gah, term's starting and i'm slow, and.... i can't believe `beneath you' is going so fast. wow, an actual fast writer in this fandom. it's like... a parrot in buffalo. i thought they all migrated out. ><;;
    i feel stupid reccing every single thing an author writes. it looks like i'm either a brainless fangirl (or worse, personally attached to the author if they're on my friends list, which they often are) or tasteless or whatever. but seriously, there are some people i find something newly amazing in their writing with every new fic. not -every- writer, which makes me feel better. like, haha! i -do- have discriminatory abilility. so there! and even with always-good writers, some things are better than others, obviously. even amalin and ivy, my slashfic goddesses, have written things that were less brilliant than usual. weird, but true. er. or perhaps, not as brilliant as they could be, by their own standards, though usually still more brilliant than 95% of the writing out there. heck, i don't like half the stuff neil gaiman wrote, and i worship his writing. seriously. worship. anyway.

with that said, `five (a study of senses)' richly deserves to be recced, and whoever thinks not probably doesn't share my taste in fic. like, at all. *laughs* which is ok, of course. i can only speak for what makes me fall in love, and it's always personal for everyone. in the end, i fall in love with stories, with characters -because- of stories, with stories because of characters. i dunno what i'd think if i didn't fall in love, reading that fic. would i think, "hey, that's nicely structured". or, "hmmm, nice symmetry". or, "great passion they seem to have"? hmm.
