wah...! thank you!~~:D you liking it really means a -lot- to me. *laughs* a part of me was afraid that i would trample all over them in my rough dragonhide boots-o-slash, or something~:) so i was careful, and tried to actually -think- (don't do that as much as i should when i write, i think).
it's funny, that when i wrote the little bits of letter-content that i did, i was asking myself that question-- what would harry say. but then i just-- it became simple, when you consider harry, and what's important to him, and you let -him- say it instead of you, "the writer", and what you'd want him to say. if that makes sense. restraint, yes, it's all about restraint :D
although, i have to say, a 17-year-old boy is much more likely to be a hopeless romantic than a 27-year-old or a 47-year-old, let's say~:) they're at their ripest, so to speak, at that age. i think if you have any inclination towards the schmoopy at all, it's at its peak during adolescence (unless you're leonard nimoy. but let's not talk about that). not that i think harry's a romantic. but, that tends to be the most truly romantic, when people don't have a conception of "cliche" and just say exactly what's on their minds. simple but effective.
um, will stop babbling now. but wow, thank you~:) i was really (pleasantly) surprised~:D
