this just makes me melt-- awwww.... sirius holding baby haaaaryyyyy ~:) *turns into puddle of goo* oh.... god... and yes... the world is coming to an end... i'm writing a (*gasp*!) ron/hermione story (mush! mush! mush!) for the astronomy tower challenge. *runs away in shame*

oh, btw. (*peeking back in, of course*) stephen says that this pic, by the same artist, of (supposedly) sexy!harry looks like slashy!harry (or at least slashable!harry) to him-- or even more extreme-- secret-identity!harry (`the boy who lived to have a secret identity, as harry potter'). indeed. it must be that slashy gleam in his eye(?)
also, i have to say, i find her disney!harry (or -any- disney!harry-- and hermione-- grinning at each other-- for that matter) pretty darned disturbing. oh yes. i can just see it, can't you? the eventual disney movie? aww, c'mon. yeah you know they'd jump on it :> ah yes, just your average goofy teenage disney wizard, right? right, of course, right. o.O

P.S. ~~feel i must note this, been whirring around in my head ever since seeing ``signs" (ugh... did he mean that?), yesterday. in short, "coincidences: remarkable or random", as mentioned here (a skeptic site). that particular page is on carl jung, a particular interest of mine. this guy didn't really believe in coincidence. neither does the director of ``signs", i'm getting. do i? weeelll........ (*wibbles*).....

``Mythology, Jung claimed, bases its stories on the archetypes. Mythology is the reservoir of deep, hidden wondrous truths. Dreams and psychological crises, fevers and derangement, chance encounters resonating with "meaningful coincidences," all are gateways to the collective unconscious, which is ready to restore the individual psyche to health with its insights. Jung maintained that these metaphysical notions are scientifically grounded, but they are not empirically testable in any meaningful way."

binding coincidence with metaphysical truth is a tricky proposition, but actually, a lot of religious/mystical doctrine gets based on it, i don't know why. it's very... shocking, i guess. look, magic trick, this coincidence actually means something! i dunno, or something like that(?) i believe random events -structure- themselves (observably) into meaningful patterns. does that give the random events their own meaning, their own place in the mythic subconscious? randomness seethes throughout existence (especially at the sub-atomic level), as well as Meaning. you don't have to wed them to make sense of things. do you? i don't know, maybe you do. i think the wondrous thing is the emergent properties of the universe. the random goo of existence becoming meaningful, and structured, and complex. like the way life arose out of-- well-- nothing, sparks flying (randomly) in the dark. that's what so amazing, so beautiful. that there's a secret path to travel, -once something comes to be-. it doesn't mean it -will- be, just that if it is, it'll fall into these-- grooves.

does that make any sense? i don't even know if it makes sense to me. but i do know that it's much more complicated than ``meaning" vs. ``non-meaning".
