*giggles* actually i've never heard neil be flattering (or -unflattering-) to himself. he always has other people (even harlan ellison!) flatter him -for- him :> hee
i don't usually get offended by words, unless the person seems to be being mean. yah i know that sounds vague as far as a reference point, but it usually works ^.^ you can tell when someone's not being mean, because usually it sounds funny :> er, that was just a general reference, not that i even considered it in this case :)
at least, now you know. and word-game victory is just -that much closer- :)
