So like, in August 2005, post-HBP, I had this Hugfic challenge thing where I challenged people to write gen H/D preslash sorta stuff (where Harry hugs Draco) without shmoop or sap. And lo! And behold! The WONDER AND GLORY:

Amalin (otherwise known as monochromal, the awesomelicious writer behind 'Transformation'), wrote a WHOLE NOVELLA for me!! I WIN AT LIFE!!1 GO READ IT NOW, BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE AND DH HAS PERMANENTLY FRIED THOSE DELICATE POST-HBP SYNAPSES :O

I do not know why you and Aja keep reccing me without reading the fics first, though, because you both having that much confidence in me makes me feel nervous and unworthy!

You know, I just posted this immediately before Deathly Hallows. I posted Transformation just before HBP. I think the last fic I posted before OotP was Still Life. Those are like, the only real H/D fics I've written that I still feel okay about existing, too.

I always start things right after canon, it seems, and finish them (if I finish them) way after it's too late. Here's to breaking that pattern at least once. (y)

At this point even if I did post it right now, it wouldn't be before DH and also you'd be literally the only one to read it and then there's editing (not even started on, but I printed it out and scribbled on it) and omg it'll be like 40 pages at the end, at -least-, and I know it's not 150 but that's around what my Sirius+Harry longass thing is >___> heheh and it keeps growing plot. I wish it'd stop doing that :>
