...Man, there are several super-awesome things about living in Capitol Hill in Seattle, but one of the most awesome is definitely seeing all these gay couples holding hands as they walk down the street or order an espresso or whatever. Man, I must've seen like, three today (I know I'm from NYC, but this just does -not- happen nearly as much, even in the Village). I have to struggle not to squee, 'cause... it's definitely adorable. Awwwww. Though I laugh to myself a bit imagining their response if they knew of my little hobby. *facepalm* It's a bit like being undercover. Oh man.

Ahaha. I know exactly what you mean. I live in the middle of Chelsea (NYC, not UK) and everywhere I go, it is a constant and shameful struggle not to sneak my phone out of my pocket and take pictures, while squeeing foolishly. My favorites are the couples wearing matching (and fabulous) outfits for a weekend night out, and the older couples, who you can tell have been together forever and ever.

(Hm. One day I'll have to start a website of gay hand-holding pix, and title it something like "DON'T TELL US WHO TO LOVE, YOU REPUBLICAN BASTARDS." One day when I am less lazy and stuff. Yes.)

Owww! I live in Australia and I have seen like... four publicly gay couples, just in the street, in my entire life! I know what you mean though, a friend of mine came out a couple of years ago and I was secretly squeeing >.<

No!! Ah, I'll read it today -.-;; I haven't been using the 'puter for v. long stretches 'cause of... god, the craziness and things being broken & me collapsing and/or trying to assemble furniture once I get home. Mostly with the assembling furniture... and I haven't started unpacking, etcetc. Hopefully by TOMORROW (yes!!) it'll all get settled and/or I'll at least have my desktop connected. :( *snuggles*

Hee it's definitely striking-- the difference between this neighborhood & what I'm used to. :D Kind of embarrassing, but in a good way. And all my gay/bi friends are girls, prolly most from fandom, ahahah. And I assume you mean my icon by 'pic', hehe :D I've actually seen a fic with that pairing once :>

Omg, one of the couples as an old guy and a young one (so cute!!) and then there was a couple the same age that sort of matched... not in an over-the-top way but just sort of... leaning close together and having matching body-language.... Now I really do wish I took a picture ^^;;; Hahah, you gave me ideas :D I'm trying to be normal, though. Well, as normal and inconspicuous as I can while staring at everyone, ahahah.
