Nov. 22nd, 2005 08:27 pmI... it's... American... Christian... inspirational... manga... *weeps*
...Now I really have seen everything. :/
I was going to rant about how much I hate 'inspirational' anything and how I feel it pretty much destroys any hope for artistic integrity for that creator even if they themselves don't think so, and how... well, etcetc, I dunno, but I really... have no words. Only small choking sounds. ^^;;;
~~
...On the bright side, I've actually found two shounen titles I liked. Vaguely predictably, they're comedies instead of serious fighting mangas. Though that one about the semi-lesbian half-alien hermaphrodite from outer space sort of scarred me, mostly because I kept wanting it to be shoujo and actually have relationship development. ^^;;
I like the one about the boy raised in present-day Nevada who comes back to Japan convinced/acting like it's still the Edo era... teehehe. That doesn't sound like it would be funny to a Western person, I guess, but it really is. :D
EDIT - Oh, and the search for that One Good Femslash fic aside, I've finally found what I can consider an adult, good-yaoi-comparable femslash/yuri manga, by Ebine Yamaji-- Love My Life. Le (happy) sigh.
