For what it's worth, I liked it. So it's not furious or harsh all those post-OOTP glorious things, but I don't know if I mind really, now after HBP H/D seems more likely, or perhaps only likely to happen in a different manner to before, and even though, yes, some Dracos have turned out a little ... limp, I do think the new angles has potential.
But I like this funny Draco, he is somehow a post-HBP version of the pillow-switching, dastardly cat-mutilating Draco of "My Favourite Things", or the proper little wizard Draco of Philosopher's Stone.
Because he was, wasn't he. Careful was his middle name.
"Potter," he said at last, and gave a little salute.
...a little mini-Draco...
...fighting his way out of here to the brilliant outside and freedom, where the Death Eaters were surely waiting to welcome him into the fold. Right, then.
"Actually, I was thinking we could keep you prisoner a bit longer if you knew something--" Potter started. "I mean--"
"I know just what you mean, don't worry. I'm sure we could work out an arrangement."
...it was old news Potter 'didn't like' him a little too much.
And "a slow sort of burn starting in his gut."
...put smiles on my face like you couldn't believe. Thank you!
