Okay, we all know I have fictional-boy-issues, but this sort of disturbs even me: reading
an oldish post of
thamiris', she's talking about this guy on SGA, Ronon, & what Aries would be like if he had a soul, and it's
the watcher in the corner with the knife and the most beautiful eyes in the world. Ahhhh. That's the one I always, always ALWAYS fall for. Omg, major *facepalm*. The knife is important, you know, but really it's the knife and the still, watching
eyes. Thamiris always has a way of saying things in a way that makes me shiver. Though Aries isn't an assassin type, I have to say.
Also (about Snape, but it doesn't matter):
He's been formed somewhere dark, and the shadowy layers have cohered into this hard shining unreadable stone. I love the circuitous psycho-etymological route of diamond
, too, how it's tied to adamant
, which is rooted in to tame,
so you end up with Snape in this gorgeous paradoxical place: hardest substance in nature that simultaneously craves taming. He's need wrapped in denial. Ahhhhh, just reading it is almost enough to make me sexualize Snape. *___* It's just that I disagree -anyone- would do nicely to tame him, since that's the whole point of denial, isn't it?
In other news: a week till England and I still haven't started packing, really started
panicking realizing I'm going -or- writing the rest of my novella so I can fulfill my promise to myself.... Oh well, can't start being unpredictable
now.
