[doodle~!]
Apr. 1st, 2006 06:13 amI was just doodling Alec & Seregil randomly at Kinko's while waiting on my fax, and then I realized I couldn't imagine a friendly sort of 'together' pose for Harry & Draco o_0 It was really odd, so I scanned it. I drew Flewelling's Alec & Seregil pretty easily, right, with Seregil's arm just around Alec's shoulder, no biggie, but then I tried to imagine a similar casual friendliness between Harry & Draco and totally failed. The only thing I could come up with that seemed IC yet vaguely teamlike was them standing back-to-back and scowling, which just isn't the same. ^^;
In the end, there was just... this. But I'm pretty happy with my Harry. That's sort of how I see him in my head (with most distinguishing facial features conveniently obliviated, it seems, but I mean more the pose/vibe thing). Trying to capture Harry & Draco's 'vibe', all I could come up with was Harry looking vaguely mopey & Draco vaguely prissy. Alas.
(Also, I was wondering why my doodle!Draco always looks so fanonish and poncey... at least he doesn't have long hair, but, I mean... the effete aristocraticness, oh man....)

Also, Aspen's Daisychain!Draco prequel made me really happy. At least -someone's- still got it, ahahaha, even if it's not me ♥.
...Aaaand, there's nothing quite like melodramatic yaoi to make one a) spork one's eyes out; b) run back to nice hetero epic fantasy (yeee, finally reading A Game of Thrones... yesh I caved...)
(The uke is crying so much I'm actually embarrassed to see it. ^^;;;; Hahahah and he's actually like, 'huh... I WONDER WHY I'M CRYING SO MUCH. *SOB*') I've actually come to understand many many things about the things Japanese girls find sexy (it's a field of study!!), but I still don't get the thing with the ukes crying rivers at a sneeze and the seme going 'OH MY GOD, DON'T LET ANYONE SEE YOU CRYING, OR I'LL NEVER BEAT ALL THE SEX-STARVED MANIACS OFF YOU'. Come to think of it, it's rather disturbing, actually. -.- But then, this -is- Higashino Yuu, so the uke is blushing all the time -and- crying (and trembling, and possibly drooling... and this time it's a university professor. Maybe that's some sort of cosmic justice.)
