My unfortunate returned use of this journal merely to pimp continues, muwahahah, etc, at least until the insane... insanity that is my life all of a sudden dies down. Um. Yeay, end of term, except not.

Let's start with the depressingly... depressing, shall we. [livejournal.com profile] angelgazing's `The Unfortunate Truth of Happily Ever After' was just so slow and dense and fluid at the same time, and while it has one of my all-time least favorite scenarios for H/D (subtly unhappy post-Hogwarts), it does so well at grinding my heart into fine sand that I had to rec it. It's not quite as bad as all that, but it's rather close. [livejournal.com profile] marksykins' `A Little Bit of Loneliness' is more with the Hogwarts-era depressing, but it's also got the benefit of teh sexeh (tm) and totally-obsessed!Draco, who isn't so bad, really, since he's totally Harry's bitch even if it's a case of utter denial on the one part and utter oblivion on the other. Those boys need some sort of group counseling. Or something. *coughs*

And then there's [livejournal.com profile] stellabelle, who writes things which make me happy & also have titles like `How to Shag Your Most Hated Enemy and Still Feel Alright About it, You Know, Morally Speaking'-- which. Well... it warms the cockles of my heart, really; you should all encourage her to make this the start of a beautiful 48-part plotless wonder. With more mud, not-really-fighting, snark & grumpy-but-desperate!Harry and deluded-yet-startlingly-edible!Draco. Um, did I say edible? I meant... uh, I meant... I meant entirely credible, as in, he's a bitch and he's not sorry. Harry's the one who's sorry, ain't he? That's just how life works.

I also have to mention [livejournal.com profile] circe_tigana's `Draco and the Not Potter', since I've always loved snark, deluded!Draco, barely-tolerant!Pansy and gratuitous almost-snogging in almost equal measure.
And last but not least-- quite possibly best for last, there's Aja's fic, omg, `The Properties of Being Lost', and what can I even say about it? She brings the love back even though it never left, but as though it was always somehow missing. ♥ This is what coming home feels like. ♥ And as much as I love deluded!Draco, I love this hurting, aware, lost Draco so much, so much more. This is how I'd first envisioned him, and how I'll always be unable to resist him.

Also, the Bad Sex Awards made my day. Like totally.

So I've just started to read `The Voyage of the Dawn Treader' & one question is foremost on my mind at the moment... is Draco more of a Eustace type or is he more of an Edmund type?

I think this is a deep and meaningful question, btw, eheh. I started off really annoyed with Edmund-- I mean, he's a nasty little bitch in the beginning, I swear to god-- but now I love him the most <3<3 Oh Edmund <3<3 But now that there's Eustace with his even more hardcore bullying ways, I'm starting to wonder. Especially 'cause Eustace is also apparently stupid, petty and completely without any hint of sensitivity (so far). Still, he kind of reminds me of Draco where Edmund really didn't. Alas.
