~~ wanna get physical... physical... (heh)
Apr. 7th, 2004 07:12 pmI don't know if I've ever said this, but if fandomishness is good for one thing, it is love. Your love-- our love-- for the characters-- I just totally feed on it. It's the greatest. Maya and Miss Breed and Aspen and Sister Magpie (all of whom should be fed lots of grapes & chocolate, btw)-- without you guys, I wouldn't adore Draco as much as I do, just because... yeah, I can't do it alone. The love, man. It really works, sharing affection for characters as well as the people you imagine them through and with and because of. Well, if anything, I don't tend to re-read canon of any sort, generally. But anyway, that wasn't the point. The point was... ♥.
And also... I wrote this weird physical description thing kinda randomly. I was staring at
sherant's gorgeous Harry (not to mention the H/D), so I was all warm-fuzzy and visual, and.... I dunno. Since I can't draw as well as all that (and also, I'm lazy), I kinda wrote a very (very!) detailed picture of Draco (and Harry) as I see them. Down to the pimple. Well, almost. So.
~~
The first thing one would notice about Draco Malfoy would be his size. He is most often seen in the company of two large, hulking boys, which would give an observer the opposite impression of him through contrast. The boy is rather thin and small for his age, not especially remarkable except for his fierce expression and somewhat unusually pale coloring. He avoids an impression of frailty mostly by possession of a certain attitude that grabs one's attention.
He has thin, sharp shoulders. The collarbones jut fiercely through, but these days they're likely to be hidden, hunched over. His Adam's apple is rather prominent on his long, thin neck. The boy's posture is very good when he realizes he's being watched, and deflates somewhat when he thinks he's alone. The boy is rarely alone, however.
( And so on... and on... and on. )
Harry Potter's appearance doesn't draw attention to itself, but in a way, this is what's most noticeable about him. Most people would most likely be unable to pinpoint what is it that drew their eyes to the boy, until they realize it's Harry Potter, and then of course it becomes obvious.
( I think I got a lot more shmoopy with Harry, but oh well. The love, like I said. )
~~
EDIT - Uh. So. By the way... did I get something wrong? I was trying to be directly canon-extrapolative (without any huge leaps) there and all. So if you see something off, let me know :D Or, um... not, too~:)
