er.. this isn't really fanfic and isn't really original fic and is just indulgent and i mean, it's sort of fluff and only of personal value (it seems to me). it doesn't have fanfic value-- i mean... i don't know. i see a lot of fics with the "it could be anybody" syndrome where it seems like they were written merely to use those characters but without consideration for who they are besides the fact that the author wants to dwell on the pretty.

i only rarely do it... i did it with ginny once.... but it's a strange breed. it's not an original fic-- because while it stands on its own, there are references which point to specific characters in my head, just not necessarily in anyone else's head. i mean, if you're -me-, you'd see exactly where i was coming from and how it all works, but it really doesn't bother convincing you-the-reader of anything at all.

i've been doing that a lot lately. i've always written original fic where i didn't really work to set things up, to convince the reader, and often enough i `slip' and write fanfic where it's all halfway in my head and halfway on paper. that was how it was with my pornlet yesterday, anyway. it was like, "blah-blah-blah i don't know how it -works-, but it works to -me-, so".

but this is even more down that road. i don't actually think it's -either- fanfic or original. i just posted it on my other journal and then took it down, because the -intent- to write fanfic was sorta there, and that's what counts in my internal sorting, but on the other hand, that doesn't make it -be- fanfic. or something. i even changed the one hp reference (quill) to pencil-- which -could- be hp, but maybe not.

anyway, this is just me perving over this model shot (the one on top).

...he has a thing about That Mouth.... - er. drabble-type thing. )
