just peeking in...

looking through my old pitas blog from last spring (ahhh, the good old days), and all the gw sites that are now halfway dead (*sigh*), i found this place with banners for use to proclaim one's intended defiance of fanon stereotypes. (heero/duo are "not just about sex"! ahahahah). though, i'm partial to this banner for duo (whom i -adore-), simply because whore!duo pisses me off so much i can't -begin- to tell you (and this one. hee!!). wah. so anyway, i went to the fushigi yuugi page (since it's one of the few large series i've seen all of, thus knowing the whole canon), and i laughed. and laughed.

i mean. miaka/tamahome was "you call us sweet like it's a bad thing". heh. ahem. trying to apply it to h/d, i guess it'd be something like, "you say we hate each other like it's a bad thing". oh yeah.
    sometimes i think my brain is going to just explode from all the badfic and simplistic romance and all the flashbacks to being thirteen and horny that are almost necessary in most fandoms. heh. on the other hand, if it was going to, it would've done it long ago.
    so. i should make a banner-site for hp sometime. *laughs* "h/d - come for the sex, stay for the snark". er, no, not the right spirit. "h/d - not at each other's throats -all- the time." ok, no. "h/d - we don't like bunnies". *laughs* obviously, i'm not the one to make these things up either. or-- "ron/harry - we have angst, dammit." hee.

also. varis draws some of the most adorable h/d pics -ever-. strangely, she also wrote `torturous hardship that smoulders'-- which, you know. not adorable, exactly, and more on the prickly and stark and vividly uncomfortable side. but i like that too, so it's all good :D
    and i fell in love with yet another h/d watercolor, this time by lencat ^_^
