You know, you're right, Anne Rice's writing does kind of suck, but Lestat used to be really rather attractive in a kind of IRuleTheWorldWheeeeeeeeeeeee!! way. Now he's just lame, and all the vampires are suddenly straight also, so there goes more than half the appeal of the books. :P
