Well, there really wasn't any fallout, I guess. It's more like Harry incorporated it and we only see the result in him naming his son and saying Snape was the bravest man ever 19 years later (after taunting Voldy with it). That's more structure + Harry than Snape, I guess?
That's exactly it, basically, and what I said in my post. And when I was talking about redemption, I guess I said "redeemed" because I meant the idea of the big Snape reveal, like: "is he good or evil?" And that like, JKR made him "good" through this. So not like, actual redemption in the books, just the answer to the reveal, is what I meant, I guess. Like, in the eyes of the general readers, not the book characters'. I don't bother arguing redemption in the books because it's not what I want anyway.
